Fresh off of investigations regarding domestic violence with his girlfriend Rihanna, musician Chris Brown has taken the opportunity to post a public response on his Youtube page. The video, his first appearance in months, claims the media has blown the situation out of proportion. He also takes the time to thank his fans for sticking with him through these troublesome times.
“I just want to say ‘What up’ because I ain’t been out there in a minute…We ain’t going nowhere. Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you all. I ain’t a monster.”
Brown also name drops his new album Graffiti which is due out later this year. Perhaps the title is homage to Prince’s album Graffiti Bridge considering that Brown is a self admitted Prince fan. In descriptions of his new album Brown stated,
“I wanted to change it u p and really be different. Like my style nowadays, I don’t try to be typical urban. I want to be like how Prince and Michael [Jackson] and Stevie Wonder were. They can cross over to any genre of music.”
After a statement like that its hard to tell what Brown has up his sleeve. Hopefully his new album will be about the music as opposed to a reaction to his negative press regarding Rihanna.
